i just watched a video clip of a woman (on CNN website). Anyway, she lives in Washington, looked around 40 yo, and she got Coronavirus. She didn't know she had it, just was aching and fever, etc. She went home. Had 101 fever and went to bed. Woke up with 103 fever and slept it off. Later she talked to friends that had all gone to the same party and they all got it. Some were tested with coronavirus. She said it wasn't really much of anything and she really just felt like she had the normal flu. Her message was for people not to panic. Its not that big of a deal.

If the Covid-19 ever starts infecting the same number of people as the flu your looking at a Million and half people dying just in the US alone on paper.

So the "its just like the flu" argument has a lot of problems. It's "potential" is devastating.

Remember back in the day when AIDS first hit the scene, everyone was thinking you could get AIDS from sitting on toilet seats and contact with surfaces? That was all unfounded fear because HIV cannot survive very long outside of the body. This advanced strain of coronavirus is on a whole different level. It can transmit through the air and it can live on surfaces for an extended period of time.

HIV 2.0 except completely different in every way? Oddly my friend sells an Aids drug.

From what I've read, we should expect this to be 90% gone in a month and return in September. Hopefully there will be a test / vaccine at that point.
