"Why did you stab this man?"
"Your honor, people have been stabbing each other on this land for centuries. Why care so much about this one?"
"The knife is still sticking out of him!"
"Do you know how many people have been stabbed here over the past thousand years? What, we're going to pull the knifes out of all of them!?"

Funny how people think all the tribes got along with eachother. They stole land and resources from other natives all the time. Almost as if humans have been doing that around the globe for all of time.

Yep. Too many people think that the Indians were all just peaceful folks never wanting to bother anybody. Thats all bullshit. They were regular people just like in any other land. Some were good, some were bad, the liked each other, they hated each other, they traded and they fought. Some were peaceful and some were very aggressive.

Wonder why, then, we're almost always fed the stereotype of the minding their own business, never bothering anyone, super peaceful, wouldnt hurt a fly, virtually perfect native American?

Riiiight. Go sell that shit to the tourists. Those movies arent made anymore. The portrayals of native Americans today are just like I described. Go ahead and watch basically any movie from the past 20 years. The only time the Indians are doing anything remotely bad or violent is when they are provoked by the ultra evil white man.Stapes wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 1:19 amWhere are we fed that? Even if that's true it's too bad Americans don't have access to movies and TV shows older than 20 years
