"Tyranny of the majority"
Sorry you dont like how our government works. Also that "will of the people" hes referring to is the will of progressives and not necessarily the will of his or other constituents. You do understand that "the will of the people" can mean two completely different things depending on who is pushing it, right? The "will of the people" from progressives" isnt mine or other conservatives "will". Our "will of the people" is much different. You have to think a little to get that's what he meant so its not surprising it was over your head.

If the gop has control of the house senate and white house they say they have a "mandate" and do what they please. If the dems control all three it's "tyranny"

Who the fuck do you think you're lecturing to you pompous cunt? Nothing is over my head and the "will" of the republican party is pretty fucking obvious. Has nothing to do with the "people". The republicans stopped giving a fuck about the people of this country a long time ago.

So you are incapable of understanding context. Gotcha. Your "will of the people" and my "will of the people" are two very different things. I consider myself and other conservatives "people" so it very much has to do with "people".Stapes wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 1:24 pmCHEEZY17 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 10:40 am"Tyranny of the majority"

Did the will of the people put dems in charge of the executive and congress?CHEEZY17 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 3:02 pmSo you are incapable of understanding context. Gotcha. The will of the people who supported them, sure. And it's those representatives job to fight for that will. Just like it is the job of the opposition party to fight for the will of their supporters; regardless of which party occupies the majority. It's why we elect who we do.CaptQuint wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 3:04 pmDid the will of the people put dems in charge of the executive and congress?CHEEZY17 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 3:02 pmSo you are incapable of understanding context. Elections have consequences. If you truly felt that way then Merrick Garland should be on SCOTUS and not head of The DOJ right?CHEEZY17 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 3:11 pmThe will of the people who supported them, sure. How do you figure that? It's pretty much up to the senate who gets on the Supreme Court.CaptQuint wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 3:15 pmElections have consequences. The will of the people elect The President. The President chooses the appointee to SCOTUS as The Constitution says. The Senates responsibility is to advise and consent. The man The Senate chose to set the schedule chose not to do his job and not hold the hearings. If Cheezy was truly concerned with "The will of the people" he would've been outraged that McConnell decided to not do what the people pay him to do.peterosehaircut wrote: ↑Sun Jul 11, 2021 2:18 pmHow do you figure that? Cheezy believes in the processes and institutions of the US as long as his side is in control. Once his side loses then all bets are off.CaptQuint wrote: ↑Sun Jul 11, 2021 2:33 pmThe will of the people elect The President. The President chooses the appointee to SCOTUS as The Constitution says.
