Well, at least they got rid of that stupid politically-based exception to the European travel ban for the U.K.

They sometimes get something right, but usually too slow in doing it.

you know, shit like this just doesn't seem to me to be the federal government's fault. I know people can nit pick a situation to death and point fingers all over the place, but its not like these people just made a surprise appearance. And its not like every time there is a traffic jam or an unexpected problem that the federal government is responsible to come in and fix it.

We know a few things, people are not supposed to be within 6 feet of each other. So, let's just make that a rule. If you have a situation that requires people to be closer than 6 feet together, then change something. If your room will only hold so many people standing 6 feet apart from each other, then don't let more than that many people into the room. If that means they sit on a plane or stand on the tarmac, or what the fuck ever, then that's what it means. They should let the fire chiefs monitor this problem. they seem to know how to control crowds.

Ah no....sorry. The backups are being caused because the government just implemented virus screenings from overseas flights without making sure there was enough personnel and equipment to do the job. The Federal government is in charge of the entries. The Trump administration is again failing to handle this situation.

Sorry if this bothers you but its right out of Trumps own playbook....but now he is in charge instead of Obama and he is going to own every fiasco that happens. 8 months

No, see that's the approach that a dumbass takes when presented with a problem. they try to make it sound like they were handed an impossible situation.

The backups aren't being caused because the government implemented virus screenings, the backups are being caused because someone is letting too many people into a room that can't hold that many people. They came from somewhere, they can wait where they came from until the room can hold them.

there isn't a fire in the building forcing all these people into this one room.

exactly. Its really not even an option at that point. you are talking about people returning from high risk areas during a global pandemic. this isn't just some inconvenience at an airport. its a national emergency.

Then you would think they would respond accordingly and have enough staff on hand. It is Homeland Security....they have plenty of personnel and money. You should be outraged at the ineptitude of supposedly the strongest nation on earth can't even get the simplest task done correctly.

who solves your problems for you every day? like when you have to open a medicine bottle or something and can't figure it out. Do you blame the federal government because they require those kind of lids?

grow up, man. some times a little common sense has to come into play.

Have enough personnel to implement a program you mandated.....its pretty fucking simple. It isn't a complaint......its called management...its called competence....its called leadership.... get your head out of your ass.

how about only letting the number of people into the room that you have personnel for? Since that is obviously the determining factor in this situation. You seem to be the one with their head in their ass. This isn't that hard.

Let me see if I can make this make sense for you. Let's say that the government mandated that you drink 1 gallon of water every day in order to not die from a new virus that is going around. And then they delivered 10 gallons of water to your door.

Now, most people would expect that you wouldn't try to drink 10 gallons of water at one time because you would die. But you do it anyway because that's what showed up. You weren't smart enough to know to drink 1 gallon a day. You expected the government to have someone standing there to monitor your drinking so you didn't drown yourself.

Are you really that stupid? and who would be in charge of corralling these people to wait? Oh yeah....TSA and Homeland Security......and where would these hundreds and hundreds of people wait? Oh yeah.....clumped together in a small space because they are being funneled to a screening area. They aren't going to sit on planes. The planes leave for the next stop. Fuck me your dumb. I'm done.

Not at all. There are things we could have done better. There always are. And there are things the entire fucking world could have done better. The fact is this: it doesn't matter what Trump did; this was coming no matter what. Im just curious if guys like Stapes hold the leaders of every other country on earth similarly accountable.
