All the rushing to push stories that later turned out to be fake did more for Trump than this story. He'll benefit more from those than this by a long shot.

Fake news was one of his primary talking points to push back articles against him and then major news outlets just handed him fake stories to point at.

Yup, the emerging evidence now is that he wrote them a cheque for, phoned them an hour before the attack, and phoned them an hour after the attack and he actually planned for it to be captured on cctv, he just didn't know which way the was camera pointed. I guess he thought the misdirection would stop the two black guys being picked up, but the moment they were caught there's an avalanche of evidence against him.

Lucky for the trump fans, they can get all giddy and excited focusing on this rather than the white nationalist who was planning to kill trump targets.
