Historically macho country chooses woman as leader. That’s supposed to be the story. The politics secondary, along with fitness for the job.

She could be a flaming homo for all I care. Speaking out for the individual, not something you see every day.

If you throw out Merkel in Germany, think of this woman in Italy and Margaret Thatcher in England. Strong Conservative Right.
Democrats have a tons of problems after mid-terms not the least is "who's next". Who's next, indeed. Worn out Bernie, failed Newsome? I can't think of anybody else. Republicans are a whole different story. Throw out the males, there are just a ton of up and coming strong conservative women waiting in the wings. Everybody has always assumed the first female POTUS would be Democrat. I'm telling you the first female POTUS will almost certainly be Republican. And totally qualified for the job- another thing Dims always screw up.

There’s a tweet in there showing the new Italian fascist leader.
"Fascist". So many people here have no idea what fascism is.
No shit. They constantly confuse it with authoritarianism and totalitarianism. It's Italian socialism.

Stupid people -- like Who, Geist, and PiquantCanine, for instance -- think fascism means "anything a liberal doesn't like".

Biden to oil industry: Don't raise prices as hurricane nears
AAMER MADHANI
Wed, September 28, 2022 at 10:29 AM
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden on Wednesday warned oil and gas companies against increasing prices for consumers as Hurricane Ian neared landfall along Florida’s southwest coast.

“Do not, let me repeat, do not use this as an excuse to raise gasoline prices or gouge the American people,” Biden said at the start of a conference on hunger in America.

Biden said that the hurricane “provides no excuse for price increases at the pump” and if it happens, he will ask federal officials to determine ”whether price gauging is going on.”

I agree. The over correction on both sides by scurrying to the fringes is rather gross.

There's no place for central thinking or governing any more.

Now see, that's just pure BS logic. We all see what the far left (see Meme) has become. If by "scurrying to the fringes" you mean Trump Conservatism on the far Right (Back the Police, Rule of Law, common sense, fiscal and personal responsibility, the list goes on pretty long) then I have to ask you. Of the 2 "fringes" listed and the issues they represent, which do you think over 90% of Americans would choose as most identifying with?

The Right started moving far, far before Trump appeared on the landscape.

The fringe existed, and was amplified by Trump. By electing/supporting Trump the Right views any moderate thinking as fringe.

So, in your opinion what's considered "moderate" these days is things like Identifying with a certain gender one day and switching back the next? "Moderate" is unable to define the difference between males and females? "Moderate" is forcing parents of little girls to make them enter bathrooms alone not knowing which gender person may be in there? "Moderate" is indoctrinating young children from the first grade up on the beauty of the homosexual lifestyle with no input from their parents and ignoring the social path it leads to? This list could go on for a long time, but if you think any of those things are "moderate" then in my opinion you and your kind are totally out of touch with not only reality but any mental stability at all. Be clear. The Liberal fringe is the one out of touch and will be fought every inch of the way and will be crushed.

to be fair. i think that fringe should also include:

1. passing any kind of laws regarding abortion
2. passing laws that make owning guns easier.
3. wanting a wall built on our border.
4. thinking that vaccines don't work or that covid was some kind of hoax.
5. thinking that climate change is a hoax.
there is probably a long list.
