There is a nurse that comes to my church and she said it was the best scar she has seen in a long time. 8-)
For real. You could get some vitamin E capsules and rub on it daily to help reduce the redness, but its not a bad scar.

What's that saying.... "Scars are like tattoos but with better stories" :)
For real!

When I had the plate and screws put in my hip the nurses said I should send the doc a card because it was the best scar they had ever seen.

Having said that, maybe I've been conned.

So lve been in St Mike's hospital in Toronto since Tuesday.

Came in with a pulmonary exacerbation and went downhill from there. Spent 30 hrs in emergency and was then admitted. Chills started, vomiting, fever and lots of back pain.

I've had an x-ray, ultrasound, echocardiogram, an MRI, a CT scan and awaiting another CT scan.

They are thinking there may be an infection in my back from the surgery.

I know. It's really fuckin frustrating.

It's been 4 weeks since the surgery. Recovery time was 6-8 weeks. Scar looks great and no sign of infection outside.

Those antibiotics take a toll on your gut. Make sure to take some probiotics while on them as well as after. That gut flora makes up the majority of your immune system. The antibiotics wipe out the bad stuff but also the good stuff.

Had surgery on the shoulder yesterday and the nerve block has finally worn off. Not a happy camper. Time to hit the gummies again.

4-8 weeks. Sling on for 2-6.

Unfortunately it's my right shoulder and I'm a righty. Trying to do simple things like wiping your butt with your opposite hand is interesting to say the least. You sure find out in a hurry who your friends are when you start asking around for help.

Right shoulder arthroscopic subacromial decompression and bicep tenodesis.

I'll find out on my follow-up on the 31st what it means in laymans terms.
