Flat screen TV high up on the wall in the corner. I'd also argue that most of the products on the shelf would have been in glasses containers, not plastic, even up to the 80's.

Credit cards weren't unknown in the 50's, but used mostly at restaurants. There were store cards for many department and clothing stores, but at an independent pharmacy, it'd be out of place. If in fact that's what the guys at the counter is trying to use, the cell phone might be a card reader.

And why is there both incandescent and fluorescent ceiling lights?
