McCarthy was a lame duck the second he "won" the Speaker's gavel. It was his ONLY goal, and he was willing to put his legacy on the line to satisfy the MAGA caucus. In the words of Trump, "Republicans eat their own.".
trying to educate you on things you know absolutely nothing about is kind of like dragging a dead weight across a desert. its possible, but its very slow and hard work. However, I can tell that you are gradually getting there. You are finally beginning to grasp just a little what its like to govern a house that is as equally split as this House is. Its unprecedented to see a House with only a handful of a majority. You kind of saw it with Pelosi, but she had a bit more of a majority than McCarthy had. I don't think there has ever in the history been a house with as small of a majority as there is right now. But you always have to play the hand you are dealt. And that's what McCarthy had to do. The fact that 100% of the democratic caucus was willing to throw the baby out with the bath water is where we are right now.
For realz. All it would have taken is for a small handful of Democrats to NOT vote with the MAGA group. Instead they chose to vote in lockstep with the "radicals" they claim are a "Danger to democracy".

Then why did EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT cast a vote that allows for that possibility? Your entire caucus literally voted with those folks you are now demonizing.
96% of Republicans wanted to keep it the way it was.
100% of Democrats and 4% of Republicans voted to "destroy democracy".

they did it so they could post cartoons on facebook and point fingers at the republicans and spin it to make it look like they didn't do it. its like when they let the mobs burn and loot the cities so they could win an election. votes are all that matter.

McCarthy handed his power away to the lunatic fringe. Then he blamed the Democrats for the mess his fringe caused. Democrats keep doing their jobs, as evidenced by the Senate and the executive. The House under the Republicans can't do their jobs, they eat their young after all. If you don't like that, blame the Republicans responsible for bargaining away their top elected role, and then alienating any bipartisanship they needed but never asked for or deserved.

They will never understand anything other than "BLAME DEMOCRATS!"

The "personal responsibility" Party is anything but taking personal responsibility.

So, he's admitting that he's unwilling to work with Democrats and you're shocked that Democrats decide to remove him.

This isn't making your case of "Blame Democrats".

Truthfully, I didn't watch the video. I find myself ignoring many things you post on here as your pontificate and blather on as them being "facts" and absolute truths.

Admit it, your Party has some serious tumors growing and thanks to the decisions made 30 years ago by Gingrich, Hastert, Boehner, and Ryan the diagnosis is bleak.

it was made the day that he brought his name up for vacating the post of speaker. the only point of the video was to point out every single thought he had about why he allowed it to be voted on, why, what he thought the democrats would do, etc. its a shame you don't watch things like this because staying dumb is never the right option.

thank you for posting this. This is exactly what I have been saying ever since 100% of the democrats voted along side Matt Gantz.

And, I watched it. And I agree with every word he spoke.

Speaking of actual interview with the actual person saying what we actually said he said, complete with convenient omission of critical facts and ignoring reality to try and save face in a performance for the tv.

What actually happened is the Democrats voted for the CR thus preventing the government shutdown. Maybe he'd have a leg to stand on to blame them if it was their doing in the first place that created the mess. It wasn't though, it was his and your party's.

So what would have happened if 100% of your party didnt vote for it?

The government would’ve shut down without Democrats voting for the CR.
