I know I have talked about his before a few times, but it stands to be repeated as long as I am around.
Moving to Seattle in 1990 we were in the middle of the great American music revolution. All the bands were fun to watch, albeit loud as hell which I pay for every day now. Mudhoney, Mother Love Bone, Screaming Trees, AIC (I hated them at the time), Queensryche, Seven Year Bitch, Sky Cries Mary and lastly the two new kids Pearl Jam and Nirvana. But the band I was sure would make it (as a musician mind you) was Soundgarden, they were so much better than everyone else. Funny how things work out.
I remember hearing bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime and Janes' Addiction from CA and really liking the direction west coast was going.
Then I heard Shannon and I was sold lock, stock and barrel. The best, no question.
This one really hits home for me, I remember buying Glass Houses on vinyl and loving every song. As a drummer I hate lyrics, but I knew most of his songs word for word.
Glass Houses is easily in my top 5 albums. Awesome from start to finish.

For the ska fans. These guys are great
Wow, that is some ass kicking old school ska. I always loved it best when it was punk meets reggae, like the UK did 30 years ago.
