I'm just trying to understand your logic (so no board drama or insult intended), but you had a green and an orange letter in the second try, why didn't you keep the at least the first letter going in the third and fourth tries? No spoilers, but what was the intent on the two tries after you had two good clues like that?

Ok so I have four words that use different letters. So I use 20 letters. And those are the most common with the exception of y. Fight crank dowse and plumb. So the first two I got just three letters. I can attempt to guess hundreds of words from those three, or I can see if there are other letters and attempt to get all the letters and still have two guesses to simply rearrange letters. But it's a matter of percentages at this point. I got c, I and n. If there are no other letters that I have used then there are 6 I can add to those three. But there aren't many c,I, n and x or z or q or just five letter words. So that left y, or v. The one with the v has no n so that left the answer. If that didn't work I still had another guess, but that would severely lessen how many were left and my odds were good I could have figured it out after, because y would most assuredly given me something to further my search.

Edit: yes, sometimes I can guess the word before I use all four words. And really my way is no different than trying to guess a random word to start with and hope I get some letters. Mine is the same thing it's just set letters.

Yeah, I mean like I said before, if you're trying to figure it out in the least amount of guesses, this way isn't the way. But I'm pretty sure to get it everytime without that much thought.
