I think its the same thing as people calling other people pedophiles or child predators. Its like the most extreme insult imaginable with no possible way to defend it.

I'd say the person that created that was simply responding to exactly what you're saying.
To lots of folks, mostly on The Left (TM), everyone they don't like is a "NAZI" and everything they don't like is "fascism" all while they ignore that they share lots of similarities with actual NAZI's.

Syrian-Lebanese-Palestinian food is some of the most fuck-all best food in the world! I visit our local "Habibi" restaurant at least once a week and have never had a bad thing there. I'll walk in saying "marhaba!" (make the h extra breathy) or "salam" and they scoop a little extra into the containers.

Don't ever tell a Greek this, but almost all of their modern food comes from the Middle East through Turkey Türkiye, even their infamous "Greek" salad, and is usually so much better in its more southerly manner. But you'd get a black eye if you told them so.
