Narcos: Mexico, Season 3
I have watched so many cartel series on Netflix that you would think that I would be fluent or at least conversational in Spanish by now.
Narcos and Narcos Mexico are great but I really enjoyed the spanish Chapo series with English dub. The dub doesn't match the English subtitles but fun watch either way.
We have done Narcos, Narcos Mexico and Queen of the South. Have done Chapos yet.
So much of what happens in season 3 of Narcos Mexico happened within 20 miles of where I live. Kinda of surreal.
Amazing hearing the shit that was going on down there in the 90s. I was on Avenida Revolucion 2-3 times a week and had no idea who the Arellano Félix brothers were.

Matrix Resurrections
Well, that was a let-down.
After 20 years you would think they'd be able to give us some original stuff. But alas, it's just a rehash of what we've already seen 20 years ago.

Titane
What a mind-fuck!
This movie is unlike anything you've ever seen... and I don't care what you've seen.
I'll be keeping an eye on this up-and-coming writer/director. She's fucked in the head. But in a good way.
I can see why this film won the Palme d'Or at Cannes.

New season of “The Expanse” has started on Amazon. New season of Discovery on CBS streaming.
I just added discovery+ to my Prime and have been binging a ton of murder shows.
I'm a big fan of Kenda of Homicide Hunter

I watched a couple episodes of Letterkenny and didn't get into it. I'll have to try again in a few months.

Kenda in '83 when he was still a beat cop on the CSPD force.

I wanted to watch it, but the wife got thru half the first episode and bailed. I enjoyed it, but damn the humor flies so fast past that I had to rewind a few times. But I can see where maybe its humor could start to run a bit dry after a while. Even TPBs kind of lost its shine after so many seasons.

This is true. The first few seasons were very funny. Since then it's been
fucking hilarious.

I just watched Daryl get torn to pieces in the new Resident Evil movie. That was funny.

Like how many effin cases has that dude had!? I like him every now and then. I like the show "Fear Thy Neighbor" or "Your Worst Nightmare". Good ole murder shows.
He was the lead/co-lead in hundreds of cases. I think his record was 95% solved.
He stopped the old show because he was running out of cases, at least ones suitable for TV (don't want to think what would've been "unsuitable" though). And he quit homicide when he got so mad at a perp that he had to be held back from beating the shit out of him. Resigned the same day.
The show he does now involves cases that other homicide detectives did, with his commentary.

Late to the game but wE finished watching the Sopranos last week. Being a mob based show, I was hoping that they would go out with a bang in season 6. It was complete shit and seemed like the writers had a severe case of ADHD.

"The Power of the Dog"
Classic awards fodder. This movie will get nominated for everything, even though it probably shouldn't. Although Benedict Cumonherback might win a couple Best Actor awards.
I will say this, though. There were a lot of different ways this movie could have ended... but I didn't see that one coming.

Ray Donavon Movie
8/10
This is the "oops sorry" movie when Ray Donavon got cancelled before they could finish some story arcs. If you watched the whole series, then this movie will mean something to you. If you haven't, it wont make a lot of sense. No character development as that happened during the 4 seasons of the show.
For the record, I dislike movies that cant stand on their own. If someone happens by this movie, it wont inspire them to watch the series.
