You tend to leave the words “in the United States“ all of that statement. They never claimed it was eradicated worldwide.
And where was your concern with the 60 odd cases in Chicago in 2024?

Congrats Texas , San Antone [sp?] has detected a case of Rubella. If only there was a way to prevent this.
keep in mind the the great majority of the cases in Texas is due to one county on the New Mexico border that is mostly Mennonite. And they don't believe in vaccination.
The point is that if this was simply a case of "anti vaxxers" it probably wouldn't be a problem because there aren't many of them and they are statistically dispersped amongst the population and not capable of creating an outbreak. They aren't grouped into entire communities like the Menonites.
So, unless someone has a plan to force vaccinations on religious groups, this point is not being made the way people hope it is.
