I can't help but feel this list was compiled by someone under the age of 40. I mean, who didn't know most of Led Zep's early catalog was either covers or "indirectly influenced" by established songs?[/ s] Or, that Dolly wrote "I Will Always Love You" for Porter Wagoner, before it was used in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas"? I feel some of the '80's and early '90's covers benefited more from MTV exposure than anything else. IMO, of course.
