Long time, no see. Welcome back!
What's up! I've been thinking about crashing this party for a while but kept putting it off.
Not much, just taking care of myself. Had some nasty health health issues back in March but I'm back on my feet now.
Hope you are & your family are doing well.
Glad all is well now.
Thanks. You're a nurse right? God bless you and the nurses that took care of me. Two stints in the hospital, a week apart from each other. The nurses were awesome. Like having a bunch of moms taking care of me. I originally went in for blood clots, spent about 4 days there, came home and about four days later, back in the ER for what turned out to be a bleeding ulcer. Never had an ulcer before but I'm sure the blood thinner I was on just exacerbated the one I developed. Even after they went in and clamped the ulcer closed, I was still puking up blood during the night. Next day they went in through the groin and lasered a blood vessel to stop the blood. Through it all the nurses just provided great care.

So you got a "happy ending"?
Only thing that was happy was when I got to go home.

believe it or not, freddy fender live, it's a duble cd with the second one being Johnny Paychecks greatest hits. Years ago Hustler magazine had excellent interview articles. Yes I actually read the magazines, and not just the mis maligned (?) penthouse forum. Hustler had an excellent Ted Nugent article and an even more excellent Freddie Fender article. He went from 20 people in some dive bar to 15000 or so over night, and he partied, and it caught up with him fairly quickly. And Paycheck.... didn't he shoot someone in a bar argument, forget the details on that, but he was a tough , scrawny , "sumbitch". Good times. I got this double cd at goodwill, still sealed , 79 cents, that was a loooonnnggg time ago, but it's a fun listen if you're into that type of music.

Johnny Paycheck's best songs were Take this Job and Shove it, I'm the only Hell my Mama Ever Raised, and She's all I got. Thanks.
Oh, and he was court martialed for assaulting an officer, arrested for statuatory rape, convicted of shooting a man, and he had charges for check forgery, paternity suits, tax evasion, and bankruptcy.
