They are demanding 14 day isolations under penalty of fines. They are setting up road check points at the border and if you have a plate from Louisiana or the tri state area your going to have some isssues.
I was wondering about that since I have a home and some family down there. How do they enforce a 14 day quarantine and actually be able to monitor that?

So people that are homeowners in your town shouldn't be allowed to go to their homes? You should have not allowed people from NYC to buy there to begin with on the grounds that a pandemic might occur. Now it's too late. Jeez you guys are dumb.
Voted for dumbest post of 2020
That's because you are too dumb to pick up on the fact that I was joking with him. Sorry son.

Let's take this thought experiment a few steps further.

What happens to Canada when tens of millions (if not potentially hundreds of millions) of Americans just cross over and demanded free food, housing, medicine, and schooling?

((Also, if I know the consequence for breaking into Canada was losing my son --> I probably wouldn't make that trek in the first place.
But I'm crazy like that.))

People with underlying health conditions are disproportionately at risk of severe complications from the coronavirus.
The death rate for coronavirus patients with heart disease is around 10%, some research suggests.
That's because the virus can cause damage to the heart and surrounding tissues, and that damage can lead to death.
New research suggests the coronavirus can even injure healthy coronavirus patients' heart muscles or cause partial heart failure, including among people who do not present respiratory symptoms.

That 0.28 doesn't mean a thing. And it's funny the only ones I hear touting those numbers are the far right websites. I don't see anything definitive coming from dr. Fauci. It's almost like they're pushing some kind of an agenda to downplay the numbers just like mr. Trump wants

You're making a ridiculous comparison. Canada has about 37 million people in it. 10 million people would be almost 1/3 of our population. That's like saying if you US Americans had 100,000,000 refugees storm your border. It's a stupid comparison. And for the record, the guy who posted that, is an American, just using Canada as an example. American foreign policy in South America, creating refugees who are trying to escape real danger. Then, when they make it to the US American border, you lock them and their children up. He's saying if that was happening to US Americans, what would you think? You probably wouldn't like it. But that might be too much for you to attempt to imagine.

Ousted and disbanded is Washington speak for fired.

Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer abruptly departed from his post leading the global health security team on the National Security Council in May 2018 amid a reorganization of the council by then-National Security Advisor John Bolton, and Ziemer’s team was disbanded. Tom Bossert, whom the Washington Post reported “had called for a comprehensive biodefense strategy against pandemics and biological attacks,” had been fired one month prior.
It’s thus true that the Trump administration axed the executive branch team responsible for coordinating a response to a pandemic and did not replace it, eliminating Ziemer’s position and reassigning others, although Bolton was the executive at the top of the National Security Council chain of command at the time.

In May 2018, the team was disbanded and its head Timothy Ziemer, top White House official in the NSC for leading U.S. response against a pandemic, left the Trump administration, the Washington Post reported ( here ). Some members of the global health and security team were merged into other units within the NSC, the article said
