We have a 256k image size maximum, as we only have a 50M quota for total images for post attachments. With image sizes these days, that's not that many images we can host here. I could up the max image size, and even the image quota, but I don't want us to piss off our forum host. So it's much more preferable for you guys to sign up to a good image storage host and link from there. I suggest Imgur, but any that offers a good storage size and automatic linking will work with our forum. The phpBB code automatically resizes images to the maximum screen size, but we theoretically allow linked images as big as you'd want them.

Ok, so size requirements sounds like the key. Usually when posting too large , you get a popup warning explaining. All I see is the {img} in front followed by code with no {img} afterward. Manually put the {img} at the end and nothing. So, how do you tell if the image size is permissible without having to try through tons of them until one finally posts. Real waste of time.
