Why is everyone so hung up on electric cars? I want hydrogen fueled cars. Much better for the environment.
Partly because the refueling infrastructure for hydrogen is in its infancy. Electric power is most everywhere. But I agree I prefer hydrogen.

Electric cars are ready to roll, hydrogen cars need a whole new infrastructure system built, a technological breakthrough in hydrogen storage that is not currently on the horizon, and the energy input to get hydrogen from water which comes from the electrical grid anyway and is currently less efficient than charging a battery. Hydrogen economy proponents seem unable to grasp this, we have to actually produce the hydrogen from water in the first place to get the carbon neutral fuel that has only water as a by product. It is effectively a less efficient but potentially bigger (with current tech) battery. The alternative of getting it from methane has co2 as a byproduct and still takes energy to do.

Simply on a practical level, battery powered cars are a lot closer to workable. The idea that hydrogen cells are cleaner really relies on the idea that the energy to get the hydrogen would be farted out by a magical unicorn which also waves it's wand and installs a trillion dollars of infrastructure for liquid hydrogen storage and movement.

Gee if only there was some far sighted politician calling for major R&D investment into these things eh?

Has anyone mentioned that one of the proposed methods to pay for all of this was to BORROW THE MONEY from the Fed?

Then that wall doesn't need to be built. And if the money has to be spent for "better" border protection, it should be given to ICE and the Border Patrol for better equipment and training and facilities.
If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.

Be funny if this blew up in his face by ALL of the dems voting FOR it. Basically the dems need to collectively call his bluff on it. McConnell has had a history of fillabustering his own bills

You're right that all the dims could call his bluff but that will never happen. There's just too many dims in moderate states that don't want their name anywhere near that thing.
