And the line has moved down to Saints -4 now. 5-1/2 seems like a bargain. If I were to bet on the Raiders, I'd be tempted to take the over as well at 48-1/2.

in my lifetime (and I quit betting football several years ago), I think I had my bookie actually have to pay me money one time at the end of the year. Every other time I wrote a check. Sometimes 2. I would bet maybe 10 or more college games and then at least 4 or 5 NFL games. No matter how you do it, the juice will kill you eventually.

i would definitely agree with this. i had much better luck betting college football. there is so much emotion in how people bet those games and there is so much disparity in the amount of money bet on one side vs the other. but its a shit ton of work to keep up with it all.
