Where were the ship pictures taken?
Hamilton harbour here in Bermuda. Some tall ships were in for America’s Cup in 2017.

North of the Wisconsin Dells by a bit
This one is my fave. I love pictures with "windows", like a perfect square with something different in it.
I actually paddled out onto the lake after this one and got one in the open.

What's the story with these? Great shots!
The pasture is along a walking trail in the Cotswolds of England. The other is Kenilworth Castle outside of Birmingham

That's too cool. I did some reading on that castle, what an amazing place! I can't even imagine what it must've been like living in castles.
Yeah, so may weird nooks in them that adds to their mystique

Being in Texas right now would give you a pretty good idea.

Good use of following the rule of thirds and getting the butterfly to stand still.

next time you are just kiling time with a camera, spend some time wandering around and look for geometric shapes in anything. they can be taken really close up and don't have to even make sense as to what they are a picture of other than an interesting shape or angles or parallel lines. i love those kind of pictures. i would love to get into photography.
that pic above reminded me of that style of photography.

Decided to get the camera out for the first time in a while, today. Always wanted to try shooting with snow on the ground, didn't come out too bad.
Boat Launch at a "Blue Trails" park
A tree at the same Blue Trails park, reminded me of one person consoling another.
Main Pond at Blue Trails park, snow-covered beaver dens visible if you zoom in.

Dens, not dams. Most of those mounds are the dens.

Not all are occupied, they last a couple of years after they are built. This park was a lake side Marshlands that was drained and farmed for over 100 years, then reverted back to marshland about 5 years ago. Beaver and muskrat are plentiful in the entire area. Pretty cool to kayak it, currently has about 6 miles of trail.
