I just hope Jalen Carter is there at 5.

Re: 2023 Draft
If the Cards take Will Anderson, he probably will be.
But if the Cards take Carter, then the Hawks will get Anderson.
It's a win/win.

Re: 2023 Draft
For sure Seattle gets quality week 1 starter on D at 5. Edge or LB would help us, but Jalen's ceiling is Aaron Donald talent, cannot pass up based on maturity questions, and I know Pete and John will not pass if available.
Seattle has a real chance to be a considerable headache for the NFC, last year our D was terrible and we made the playoffs. SF had better put their big boy pants on, shit is going to get ugly. Just like Pete likes.

For the first time in I dont know how long I think Lions have a real shot at not only the division but actually winning playoff game.

I gave our nephew,(Huge and only Lions fan around here for about 200 miles), our tickets back in December for the Lions/Panthers game...temperature was like 17 degrees at the start. Beat the shit out of them and he hasn't spoken to us since.

Re: 2023 Draft
I've been watching the predictions for this draft. The top 3 are just about unanimous. Alabama, then Ohio State QB. #3 is a huge surprise to me. Tyree Wilson- edge OLB- Texas Tech. Must have wowed them on film and the combine.

Re: 2023 Draft
Houston at 2 is a HUGE guess, I predict a trade down.
Same with Cards, if neither want the Ohio QB, trade down is almost all they can do. There are probably 5 QBs teams are drooling over, and the teams that want the D line guys can gain draft capital easily.
This may be a very interesting round 1, funny thing is if each team just grabs their guy in the top 6, there will be some franchise QBs available down to 12+
Maybe because Seattle is high for once, it feels awesome, but the fact is there is much unknown and I like it.
And remember next year is even a better QB class. I fucking love NFL football

I learned along time ago, I do not do well in public during games. Especially when I have to drive a mountain pass at night after the game.

Next year's QB class will be awesome. Which is why Houston trading down from #2 wouldn't shock me. They can wait till next year.hawkfan8812 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 8:09 pm Houston at 2 is a HUGE guess, I predict a trade down.

I figure the Cards trading down is about 50/50. They could really benefit from it, but if they sit pat they'll have Will Anderson Jr. or Jalen Carter sitting there.
I don't think Carolina traded up to #1 to end up not taking a QB. I think it'll be Stroud.
If Houston doesn't trade down and they take Will Anderson Jr. at #2... I bet I'll be able to hear the cheers from the Indy draft room all the way up here in Canada!

Lots of bad-mouthing lately about Stroud.I don't think Carolina traded up to #1 to end up not taking a QB. I think it'll be Stroud.
Guessing someone's hoping to make him drop down to their spot.

Re: 2023 Draft
Somehow, I think Stroud is the pick...everyone is on the Young bandwagon and I honestly would not mind either, but I think that Stroud is the more prototypical type that they are looking for.

Re: 2023 Draft
It happens every year.
It happened to Aaron Rodgers. He was predicted to go 2nd, but there was bad-mouthing before the draft and he fell to 24th.

was Will Levis the one floating the social media rumor that Carolina has already told him they are picking him #1?
