East coast has had their share. And the latest looks like a record breaker.

i can't ever remember one hitting the coast like this one. maybe they didn't used to keep us updated down here for stuff like that. it always seems like hurricanes loop in and then once they get close to the east coast of the US, they bend and blow almost due east. like a boomerang. maybe the jet stream is not cooperating this time.
