And in early December 2020 it was close to the final approval of the FDA. Even before it was authorized by the FDA Trump had authorized and paid for tens of millions of doses to be made. His plan was to have every American vaccinated (or at least a dose available if they wanted it) by the spring of 2021. His vaccination plan included prioritizing the most vulnerable, the elderly and the people with pre-existing conditions and the healthcare workers and first responders. He gave the control of the roll out to the governors to handle it within their respective states as they saw fit. By early December 2020 he negotiated deals with Walgreens and CVS to assist in the rollout. General Gus Peterna was named to head the rollout and he had designated 50,000 sites around the US as locations that would receive deliveries of the vaccine. He had negotiated deals with FedEx, UPS and McKesson to make the mass deliveries. He signed an executive order that prioritized getting the vaccine to every American prior to getting it out to other nations.

i read an article yesterday about Hewlett Packard. They have been hammered by the tarriffs on China. Since that started they have started to move most all of their products out of China. They have moved production into several other asian countries and they are looking into the possibility of moving some of it back into the US. You can look this up in the WSJ if you want. Its a really good read and it makes you really wonder what China is thinking right now, because this is just one company.
