I think there used to be a law if a budget wasn't passed it just reused the old one, but it was eliminated

It's been a while since I watched a full trump speech and presser. I guess most people will just see a brief sound bite clip and not understand just how bizarre his appearances are getting. It was a confused meandering mess of lies, some real 25th amendment invoking shit. He's not just a bad public speaker, he's an addled old moron.

It was truly an untethered display. Just off the charts. Gunzen just sent him another $50 bucks for his re-election.

Congress will get a resolution overruling the declaration through both chambers forcing a veto, but there won't be enough republicans with spines to override. McConnell already had to pinky swear to support the fake emergency to prevent the clown shutting down the government again.

Doubtful it gets through the courts though, Trump as always has preemptively kicked his own lawyers in the balls. Pretty much everything he just said publicly to excuse his action was provably a lie, and at one point he even said he didn't need to declare an emergency and could build it slower. The only way his rubber stamp court can approve this would be by declaring they can't question it in any way if a president declares an emergency, and they all understand they're then bound by their own shameful precedent if the next president decides climate change, guns or healthcare is an emergency. Trump has really screwed the pooch on this one.
