I get the point of the joke but besides that this type of picture seemed to be a thing for a few years. I just don't get it. Why would I want a picture of all my friends jumping in the air?

i am going to say that picture has WAYYY more shopped than just Bethany. No way most any of those people could get more than a couple of inches off of the ground in a vertical jump. Much less all of them at the exact same time. I am calling bullshit on the entire thing.

Yes. I think each one jumped by themselves and then someone merged them all into one picture.
