He's right. Water weighs 62.4 lbs/ cubic foot. If you go 2 miles, that is 5,280 x 2 = 10,560 ft deep. That water in a column a foot wide would weigh 10,560 x 62.4 lbs = 658,944 lbs per square foot. To get that to psi, you would divide by 144 = 4,576 psi of weight on that submarine at that depth.
My septic guy fell something like 25 feet or so head first down an elevator shaft. He was fucked up for a long time after that. Alot of memory loss. For some reason he remembered me. Like that baseball announcer guy said "how about that!" he ended up buying the septic tank vacuum truck deal. Then some years later,he and his wife are driving down the road in their regular truck and a huge tree limb broke off a tree and almost killed his wife. She was fucked (not in the good way) for a long time. Bad luck I guess.
