when i was in college, i had a friend that got hired to drive a load of horses up to New York City. Anyway, when he got there the guy took him out to show him the town. He was real redneck and he said at one point some lady wanted him to teach her "the cotton eye joe" (its a dance for those that don't know) and he said it ended up with the street full of people all doing that freaking dance.

This is not an unusual sight at some of the villages near Lake Baikal. Some of the more superstitious types think the water has healing and de-aging properties.

I used to sit with my mom Saturday nights in her apartment at the old folks home and watch Lawrence Welk. We'd usually fall asleep and then one of the aides would come in and wake us up. I'd tell my mom "we are a couple of party poopers" and she'd say "I have to lay down now" because her back was always sore.
I've also heard the bullwhip was the first man made device to break the speed of sound. That's the crack you hear. It's a tiny little sonic boom. (I think) J-Bird passes the stick....
