Thinking it's diesel powered. But what got it up to temperatures that allowed burning? It's pretty hot (but not like the Southwest etc)
#2 fuel oil will ignite if you heat it up enough (pretty much the same as diesel), and close to 100 F might just be enough if something sparks.

The four cranes at the Park Avenue job are run on diesel, which gives them more power and is a more efficient use of the cranes’ resources.

These could be electric for all I know. But apparently you can't assume that's always the case.Animal wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 6:43 pmI was just assuming they were electric. i would have never guessed they would be diesel.FSchmertz wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 6:40 pmIt appears they're not always electric. 13 June 2022 article link.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 6:25 pmAnd grease?stonedmegman wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 5:47 pmThey are electric, but there is a fair amount of hydraulic fluid.FSchmertz wrote: ↑Wed Jul 26, 2023 5:32 pmThinking it's diesel powered. I'm guessing he's shooting tannerite? i saw one the stupid fuck put a shitload into an old lawnmower and shot it from 50 feet away or some such shit.Shrapnel tore his leg off. I don't understand why people do shit like that unless they're really drunk. I think the guy in that vid was just a dumbass. Kid next door shot just a little thing of it and I thought his house blew up. I even called 911 to tell them something just blew up. Went outside and saw the kid and at first he was "I didn't hear anything" He confessed to it and that's when I learned about tannerite. He was just afraid I was going to tell his step dad.I wasn't mad about it just curious what the hell it was.it was probably 250 yards from my house but it was a seriously loud BOOM!

If you're big into building structures in my area, it's likely you've had exposure to some of these guys.
