for the purposes of this game there will be decimal value of shares. i don't have a calculator, but in that case it would be 0.2954 shares or whatever makes it come out to $10,000. Same with all other stocks. Some people will have lots of shares of their stock and some won't have very many. In this case, Pork will have less than one share. But the money will work. If, someone has a stock split, then their stock numbers will double or triple or whatever, same as real life. Dividend rates will be locked in on the open on Day 1 (Feb 1). If the company changes that during the year, that won't change for our game. I will post those for each stock on Day 1. If a stock splits, then the dividend will split in the same way.

He'll track the movement of Bitcoin stock and add or subtract the profit or loss from the $10,000 investment.
Yes. That's another way of saying the same thing.

absolutely. but you have to still be around to win. FNKO closed today at $15.98.

Funko Inc. is an American company that manufactures licensed and limited pop culture collectibles, best known for its licensed vinyl figurines and bobbleheads. In addition, the company produces licensed plush, action figures, apparel, accessories, games and NFTs.

Founded in 1998 by Mike Becker[2] and Claudia Becker, Funko was originally conceived as a small project to create various low-tech, nostalgia-themed toys. The company's first manufactured bobblehead was of the well-known restaurant advertising icon, the Big Boy mascot.[3]

Sold in 2005, Funko, LLC, is now headed by CEO Andrew Perlmutter.[3] Since then, the company has increased the scope of its toy lines and signed licensing deals with major companies such as Disney, Marvel Entertainment and Major League Baseball.

robinhood allows you to fractionalize shares. you can buy 10k worth so that said on the execution date we can just put in 10k and it will say how much of a share it is

ever since Berkshire Hathaway went apeshit crazy with their share price, companies have stopped splitting when they get up to $100 a share. Used to you could buy almost any stock for less than $100 a share. People always bought in "lots" or groups of 100 shares. In fact, i think the commission prices were higher if you didn't trade in lots. Now days with so many stocks over $1,000 a share, people buy 10 shares or 12 shares, etc. Of course, discount brokers and computers have dramatically changed the entire business.

True story about the SLI.VN stock I picked for this game.

I bought 20,000 shares of it back in the middle of 2019 when it was at .50 cents. About 3 months ago it was at $16 dollars, but I wasn't paying attention.
If I had sold I would have pocketed $320,000 on a $10,000 investment.
If I sold it tomorrow I'd only get $178,000.

Moral of the story... keep an eye on your stocks !!!!!!!!!!

 I believe that. Many years ago, when I was super tight buying stocks. I never put in a market order. I always put in a bid and either got my price or I walked. Well, I had been trading some futures contracts and we used "Good till Cancelled" orders. Meaning your bid was effective until you cancelled it.

So, one day I had been talking to some people that worked for the company that owns Chuck E. Cheese (CEC Entertainment at the time) and they were talking about how much they had made on their stock and how it was moving. So, I call up my broker and put in a price of $30 (or whatever it was) and told him Good Till Cancel. It was trading around 30.50 or so that day and it never dropped any. It just started going up. It closed around $33 or so that day and I just gave up. I forgot about it. About 3 months later my broker calls me and tells me that order just filled. I was like, "WTF?!?!?!" The market had a big correction that day and everything was down a shit load. Like 20% correction. It had dropped just enough to fill my order that was still hanging out there. I made a lot of money on that stock after a few years but the person I knew that worked there quit and I sold it. Big mistake.

I have another stock I bought around the same time also at about .50 cents. (NEO Lithium Corp NLC.VN) It's gone up 300% since then. It's at $6.50 now.
I'm watching that one like a hawk!

Is there any way of finding out what the last stock Nancy Pelosi bought? Because I'd take some of that.
If not put me down for McDonalds, now that covid is almost over they should be poised for some good growth.
