I can explain why wild turkeys have been low in population around here lately. It all began with Pizarro conquering the Incas 500 years ago. Soon enough, potatoes and guano were being shipped to Europe along with S American earthworms that didn't have to go through any Ice Ages. One ship stopped in Boston and someone grabbed some tree seeds while they dropped ballast containing the earthworms. Stay with me and I'll finish this true story tomorrow.

Instead of doing a turkey, roast up a couple of cats.

Animal...what are sausage balls? i am now going to make a carrot cake.

My family traditionally does a macaroni and gravy or a lasagna for the holidays.
sasauage balls are basically biscuit dough mixed with cooked breakfast sausage and cheese (and jalapenos or whatever else) and rolled into balls and baked until done. they are like a deconstructed sausage biscuit you would get for breakfast. about the size ofa ping pong ball.
We take a lb of sausage uncooked...hot or with sage, 1 cup of floor, 1 cup of cheddar and a 1/2 cup of parmesan. Add a couple of chopped jalapenos or poblanos then roll as you said in ping pong size balls...makes about 25...throw them in the oven at 350 for 20-25 minutes and done. Jesus will thank you.

I think most coaches/ coaching staffs are finally getting smart about something that seemed pretty obvious to many people now for awhile. Dump your Analytics in the nearest trash can.

What analytic told the coach to fake a punt on his own 23-yard line?

More points are scored with your offense than your defense. Look it up.

This Madden style coaching (Playstation type, not the legend) is getting out of hand. Texas just missed a FG with 30 seconds remaining in half, Jaguars get a long bomb down to the 1 yd line and go for it with 1 second left. A FG would have given them a 16-7 lead. Not to mention been a 6 point swing in final 30 seconds. What is going on in the NFL?

I'm watching that game. I actually thought it was a good call by the Jags coach. A TD would have made it 20-7 at half Plus the Jags got the ball starting the 2nd.

So you take the 3 points, go into the locker room with a 9-point lead, and get the ball to start the 2nd half.

Thats what I would have done. I always look at how many scores it will take the opponent to beat you. They take the easy 3 points and make it a 2 score game for sure.

Even if they made the TD and turned it to a 20-7 game, it was a 2 score game. Seemed like a no brainer to kick FG to me.

Full disclosure, I had the over and wouldn't have complained about the TD. But it was stupid for Jags to try.

Yeah I didn't have any skin in the game, I just didn't think it was the game deciding decision you thought it was. Could have been but there are so many other factors. Gutsy coaching decision.
