It's mayfly season. I'm willing to try anything to keep those bloodsuckers away. I bought one of those propane firepits and they don't seem to like them. The Tiki torches are filled with Tiki Brand BiteFighter Citronella & Cedar Torch Fuel I have two additional table top tiki lanterns as well.

They get pretty bad here, too. A couple of areas use snowplows to clear the streets of them, otherwise they are almost as slick as ice. Ice that smells like week old, sunbaked bait, though.

We call them "fishflys" here. For about a 2-3 week stretch if you live close to lake St. Clair, the large body of water in between lake Huron and lake Eerie, they will basically cover your house and car.
