You didnt read the article. He referenced that the numbers are all over the place and hence the confusion. He wasn't citing that tweet as accurate

In the actual world it's pretty much understood that Covid-19 deaths are being under reported. Either intentionally or just lack of testing.....especially during the beginning of the epidemic.

If you have 50,000 excessive deaths than the same time frame as previous years.......you can bet some of them were Covid related.

what difference does it make. we have enough states that have all handled this differently to just start using some common sense.

NY, NJ, Michigan, etc. they all totally shut down. Shut down everything. And we see the data. How the case counts went up, then came down. We see the numbers of dead, etc. We see the damage that was done to their economy, their cities, etc.

Then we have the virus spread through other states that handled it much differently. They did not shut down, other than limiting restaurant seating, social distance, etc, but they stayed open. They had basically the exact same spike as NY, NJ, etc. They didn't have the death counts by a long shot, which probably means the doctors have learned more about how to treat it.

Now, we are just faced with dealing with it, and understanding there will be bumps in the road. Go back to work, go back to school, etc, and live with it the best we can until there's a vaccine. And hope for the best.

What we don't need are a bunch of front row douche bags pointing out every problem along the way.
