Laugh if you want, Flump, I don't care. It's the truth. I grew up a Southerner and have lived in a Southern state all my life. There's a term for a Southern traditional Democrat, that's "Dixiecrat". They had a different outlook on the Democrat party, sometimes quite in odds with the Democrat party of the North and West. And when they had the chance to wrestle control of the old Republican party, they did in spades. The old Republican party, the party of Lincoln, Eisenhower, Goldwater, Dewey, even Nixon and Ford, is no more. Yours is the party of John Connally and now Trump. A sad shell of a party, empty of the beliefs and values it once had.
