"THEY'RE COMING FOR OUR CHILDREN !!!"
There is no fucking way I would trust my kid with a man who has a Bible in his hand versus a drag queen who has a feather boa.

And with that I'm out, it's remarkable the things that a person can get done when they get tired of social media or whatever this place is considered anymore. Maybe I'll come back when World War 3 starts or when Daddy comes home LOL

If youre referring to seeing the actual stats, yeah I'm with ya'. I'm also surprised that PHX tops DFW in GDP.

I am assuming that the part in Texas is Houston/Galveston? So it must have something to do with the refineries?

Not just the refineries, but those are a part of it. The Port of Houston is one of the busiest ports in the world and has been on and off considered the busiest port in the US in terms of tonnage moved for the last several decades. It does move a lot of crude oil in and refined petroleum product out, but also a lot of commercial and agricultural product both ways.

Being from Galveston, it was just a part of everyday life watching ships sail in and out of the Houston Ship Channel, along with the noise and pollution they caused. But oh! did they ever bring in the cash.

so does the port that a product leaves from get all of the credit for the money for the products being shipped? If so, then that is a pretty skewed way to look at it. Literally everything would be measured at either ports or cargo airports or highway exits over the border.

I was wondering why Newfoundland and Canada were being counted separately...
Until 1949, the Dominion of Newfoundland was a separate dominion in the British Empire. In 1933, the House of Assembly of the self-governing dominion voted to dissolve itself and to hand over administration of Newfoundland and Labrador to the British-appointed Commission of Government. This followed the suffering caused by the Great Depression and Newfoundland's participation in the First World War. On March 31, 1949, it became the tenth and most recent province to join the Canadian Confederation as "Newfoundland". On December 6, 2001, the Constitution of Canada was amended to change the province's name from "Newfoundland" to "Newfoundland and Labrador".
One other fact about its name: It was first called that by Henry VII (the VIII's father) when the Cabot father/son announced its discovery to him.

Almost 40 years living here, this is honestly the first time I've ever heard of the Boulder Canyon brand of chips. Next time I'm in Publix I might pick up a bag, but we're not a big potato chip eating family, anyway. We make our own tortilla chips from cut up corn tortillas and lightly fry them.

We used to have our own native brand of Florida grown and made potato chips, Bull's Chips, from Spuds (Hastings) FL, where there are large patches of potatoes grown. They were -not- healthy chips, though, not with the way they were made. Sadly now closed, but the potato farm is still there.
