She disappeared around the same time the freighter reported hitting a submarine. But they don't know for sure. She might be still on patrol filled with uncounted Georgia Trump ballots.

Le Surcouf was built in mind to bypass the Washington Naval Treaty, which limited the number, displacement, and weaponry of capital ships. Submarines weren't included in the treaty, and France had intended to build a fleet of cruiser submarines
