Thanks Disco! I wanted to try a tree when I first started learning to weld.
Where are you going to put it? I think it would like nice covered with ivy.
It's actually going to be mounted on a live edge slab table. The piece has a gap in the middle and this is going to be coming out of it in a way.

Is it just me or is it really fucking complicated to put this camera strap on the camera properly? Bought it so kiddo could take his camera to Vancouver when he goes with FJ this weekend but I'll be damned if I can get it on, even after watching multiple YouTube vids.

No, I thought maybe someone had a life hack to make it easier before I just tie it in a knot.

well, your picture shows the two metal "slots" that are used for both ends of the strap, right?

But the picture doesn't show the two ends of the strap. So i'm not sure how the strap secures once its fed through those slots.

Attaching the Strap

Upon purchase, the ends of new straps are passed through the buckle and the strap keeper as shown in the image below.

Image

1. Loosen the strap and pass the end through the buckle and the strap keeper to straighten it as shown in the image below.
Make sure to leave the strap keeper attached to the strap.

Image

2. Pass the end of the strap through the cameras strap mount eyelet to attach it to the camera.
Make sure to pass the strap through the strap mount eyelet from the bottom as shown below.

Image

3. Fold the strap over, and pass it though the strap keeper.

Image

4. Next, pass the strap though the inside of the buckle.

Image

5. To remove excess slack from the strap, follow steps~ as illustrated in the image below.

Image

6. Pull the strap to take up any slack and make sure the strap will not loosen from the buckle.
7. Repeat the process with the other end of the strap on the opposite side. Make sure the strap is not twisted before attaching it to the camera.

All the tutorials I looked at had the toggle thing after the buckle, but the strap I have has it before the buckle so none of these guides apply. I didnt want to take the whole thing apart to rearrange them but I will if thats my only option.

Pull the loose end out of the square. Place it through the metal loop on the camera. Place the loose end back through the two holer on the inside just like it goes through now. Make sure it is on the inside, it will hold better.

I think you are going to have to take off both of those plastic pieces on the strap and get them in the right configuration.

Note. If you remove both plastic pieces, call them 1 and 2 (above pic). Then if you start at the padded part of the strap, you first want plastic piece 1 on the strap with the strap fed through one time. then through piece 2 one direction. Then through the camera eyelet. Then back through piece 2. then into piece 1.
