Top of my list. 1984's David Lynch's version of "Dune" Almost impossible book to convert to film no matter who helms it. Thought he did a pretty brilliant job. Others?

If that movie sucked as bad as they say they wouldn’t show it on premium channels so often.

They show it a lot because it's cheap.

I’ve seen all or parts 1/2 dozen times.

We quote bad movies: “I had the shirt for it but you fucked it up.”

Wife doesn’t understand me.

Godfather 3. Yea, it’s not in the same league as the first two films. But on its own terms, it’s really not a bad movie at all. Andy Garcia carries almost the whole film, even when Pacino was simply phoning in his part.

This is a good call. They considered it a bomb only because the studios gave Costner a blank check to make it and he spent every dime. Never made it's money back, but still a pretty solid movie.

Yep, that movie created tons of controversy among GF fans. I personally thought it sucked and should never have been made. FYI- I had to "Google" the original 1984 Dune because I couldn't remember the director's name. Noticed there will be a new movie version next year from Warner Bros. Eric Roth did the screenplay.

OK, let's not get crazy here. There are some movies that deserve to be on the trash heap of history. This for example.

2nd mad max was good.
Demolition Man
Running Man
Terminator
Judge Dredd

All the shit movies from back then. Yes, I included Terminator. It was dumb, but excellent.

If you want to see a shitty movie, see the sequel.

Prometheus I enjoyed.

Another movie that got some hate that I enjoyed:

Event Horizon

Dune the book and Dune the movie both sucked, in my opinion.

I don't see how the book can be done in one movie.

And I can understand folks that can't get into the book. It's a universe you either fully embrace or forget it. I liked it though.

I'll agree with the "never should have been made" part. But it was, so there. Comparing it to GF1/GF2, it comes up short, but as I said, on its own terms, it's a fair film, and Garcia did well with the material. Had it not been a Godfather follow-up, it might have been better regarded.
