Yet that was the policy. So what's the number? 50 feet?

the experts agreed on 6 feet. 50 would be a little tough to manage in a checkout line in a store. 5 or 7 would have worked, but for some reason they agreed on 6. What is your problem with 6?

So the only way in Animal world to get a virus is to be less than 6' away from an infected person.

its no wonder none of this makes sense to you.

in the Animal world, your odds of transmitting or catching the virus go up if you are too close to someone. For the purposes of having to be out in the public, a distance of 6 feet keeps you safer than getting closer than that.

Again, you have no data to back up your claim.
Airborne diseases can travel distances greater than 6 feet and remain infectious in the air from minutes to hours. This largely depends on the type of ventilation and preventative measures inside the building.

Actual science vs Fauci who admits that there is no data. Animal sides with the latter of course, but then again, he is on booster #7

Meanwhile, we will all eagerly await your discovery of the actual science on exact distances between humans in every wind, weather, fan, etc situation possible with some type of accompanying measuring system and the acceptable scientific margin of error. Hopefully the measuring device will come with a matching "Call me Karen" handbag.

Cassandros wrote: Tue Jan 16, 2024 3:01 am At the end of the day it doesn't change the fact that any rule that has zero data or scientific studies to back it should NOT be implemented against the public. They should have simply said it was a recommendation and not part of a rule set.
so you are really going to stick to the fact that there is zero data that increasing the distance between people, when one of them has a communicable virus, has absolutely no effect on the transmission of that virus?

are you so eaten up with proving Fauci wrong that you are willing to say there is no science behind distance and transmitting a virus?
Post the science then.

Find some proper studies that are not heavily funded by big pharma that support this notion.

Just because you feel like its helpful, doesn't make it true.

New York Times: Republicans Were Right About Pandemic School Policy, Democrats Were Wrong

"The report said that today there is “broad acknowledgment among many public health and education experts that extended school closures did not significantly stop the spread of Covid, while the academic harms for children have been large and long-lasting.”

It was a report published by the New York Times yesterday. Apparently they thought it was worth mentioning.

here's the thing. there is no scientific evidence that shows that participating in a wave at a baseball game positively influences the results for one team over another. Although I'm sure there are morons that would line up to provide the scientific evidence for and against doing the wave and its impact on the players, the fans, the concession sales, etc.

However, there is something to be said for the enjoyment of being in a crowd where people join in and work together for an end result in lieu of the alternative.

Granted, doing the wave has its minor inconveniences, like standing up or having to put your nachos under your seat for a second, etc.
