Seeing what professional athletes, nationally recognized college athletes and actors do after their careers are over is fascinating to me.

Both. Todd Worrell was a reliever for the Cardinals and other teams - he owns land up in South Dakota and does private hunts on it (I used to live very close to him). Adam Timmerman an NFL offensive lineman owns a chain of John Deere dealerships. He had said one time his entire NFL goal was to make enough to buy a farm for he and his brothers. Aeneas Williams the CB and safety is a minister - used to see him all the time. James Franklin the Mizzou QB plays in the CFL but is a minister also I think. Mizzou had an OT named Elvis Fisher who had obvious NFL talent but a bad knee - he's a "personal trainer". Greg Robinson the OT for the Rams and Cleveland Browns was arrested smuggling in drugs into the US <2 months after his NFL career essentially ended. Maty Mauk the Mizzou QB who was cut for drug abuse is an assistant high school coach, "personal trainer" and real estate agent. Leon Spinks the boxer was living in a shit hole apartment in downtown St Louis - drug addict. His brother Michael gave him a house in the suburbs that he can't sell - was told he basically never leaves it. Rams QB Marc Bulger did absolutely nothing - his wife was an eye surgeon. Brad Smith the Tigers QB and NFL WR (Jets?) is a stay at home dad / his wife has a doctorate in biological engineering.

There’s a podcast called “Crime in Sports” that covers the athletes from a variety of sports whose lives don’t go perfectly during and after their careers.

Meadowlark Lemon started bible thumping after leaving the Globetrotters. Used to do a circuit through the schools and said he would always be asked the ultimate question everytime. "How long can you spin a basketball on your finger?" And he always replied, oh maybe 5-6 months.

I always thought that Scott Radinsky was cool (even though he was a Dodger) for being the lead singer of punk bands. Namely 10 Foot Pole and Pulley.
