i get out of my truck last night and Texas is down 2 touchdowns with about 2 minutes left in the game and I'm high fiving myself because the t-sips are going to lose. Then Raider High lets them recover an onside kick? and score a 2 pt conversion? and then fumble in OT? WTF?

yep. but what really makes college more fun to bet is that they have no incentive to stop scoring. even if you are up by 4 touchdowns, you don't let off the gas. You have to impress those voters for rankings. So, while a 17 point spread might look crazy in the NFL, in college, its nothing. That freaking texas game had a total score of nearly 120 points.
