Sentencing guidelines indicated 19-24 years, and he was found to have lied to prosecutors in his 'cooperation' and had his bail revoked for witness tampering. That's a remarkably, ridiculously soft sentence, he's lucky he had a republican judge. Still, one more round of sentencing to go with the option to run concurrent instead of consecutive.

The sentencing hearing for former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has begun in Virginia with the 69-year-old entering the courtroom in a wheelchair.

Maddow tried to link it all the other night and declared you shouldn't go on the internet to try and learn more about it because most of the sites will give your computer a virus! Somehow Chelsea Manning is also involved.

He'll likely be out in <4 years for all the money he avoided reporting on his tax returns and hiding foreign assets?

As Mutant said one time, that's a pretty good return on your money for the risk. If Trump had never become President it is almost completely likely he gets away with it and it's also very likely prosecutors didn't find all his assets.

Hell if you sell a large bag of weed in the wrong zip code you can serve >4 years.

Even if he was broke when he gets out he had a damn fine run living as a crooked millionaire before he got busted. With the lifestyle before and the hidden assets after, I'd take 4 years as a trade off.
