I think hockey is one of the ultimate spectator sports. You really should see it in an arena, not on TV.

P.S. And the few hockey players I met were really nice people. Maybe 'cause so many are Canadian? ;)

If you got hit like that in a real game, it's likely they wouldn't allow you to go to 1st. My understanding of the rules is there has to be some attempt by you to avoid being hit.

P.S. Actually found out this depends on the "league," but it's true for professional leagues

Maybe he was up there just to swing and miss? Not sure how smart it would be to let batted balls be hit towards the pitcher.

Just getting the ball close that close to the plate seems impossible. Good stuff.
