I also got confused by "The Open," and didn't realize that's the same thing as The British Open. The only one he hasn't won is the U.S. Open. Yet.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 12:38 amActually he won the PGA in 2005. Edit- I see you saw that
So, the Masters is played in 1 location. The Brit Open and PGA rotate locations. How does the US Open work? I can't remember.FSchmertz wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 12:40 amI also got confused by "The Open," and didn't realize that's the same thing as The British Open. The U.S. Open is all over the place. As long as it's somewhere in the U.S., that is.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 12:46 amSo, the Masters is played in 1 location. Cool, thanks. Would seem like the British Open would be located in 1 spot. Torrential rain (South)/ gale force winds (Scotland). I guess that's the point.FSchmertz wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 12:51 amThe U.S. Open is all over the place. I was in Pinehurst many years ago on a golf trip and they had one of the courses closed to get ready for the US Open. And it was around 5 years away. That's how much time they put into getting a course ready for that tournament.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 12:46 amSo, the Masters is played in 1 location.
