Geist's official movie/tv recommendation thread

All the news from the peanut gallery and where all the nasty trash talk fails miserably.
It can get NSFW-ish here: you have been warned!

The new Resident Evil series on Netflix was massively disappointing pile of shit, even somehow worse than any of the movies. It used to be one the creepiest, most atmospheric zombie franchises and now their target audience had shifted to 12-16 year olds girls. Embarrassing πŸ˜”

That's the revenge porn guy?
Faggy right? I'm excited to see the end. It was the fact that he hacked emails for the nudes. Most were not "uploaded" by exes and whatnot.

Maybe 6 or 7 I guess. There were a few story lines I did not like, but the character development was fantastic, and the different stories from the upstairs (the wealthy) to the downstairs (the servants) was so well written. I was fascinated with the idea that a person's career would be serving one family for decades. Craziest shit ever, in my poor west coast world. I am sure there are wealthy families in the east that have servants for life.

Dark Winds just wrapped up on AMC. Very impressive.

Started The Bear and it's very good. Recommended for anyone who's worked in a restaurant.
The problem is not that there is evil in the world, the problem is that there is good. Because otherwise, who would care?

I will have to check this one out. Some of the best times of my life happened during by restaurant years. And yes, its not a healthy lifestyle at all.

The Sandman is a soft Twilight reboot. 3/10 and a hard pass after 3 episodes.
