We have been watching Euphoria. It is an absolute cock fest. Disco would enjoy it.

Unsure if this has been mentioned, but you guys. Check this out.
The part about dropping 7 hits of acid was funny.

Re: Geist's official movie/tv recommendation thread
Joking, right? What really gets to me on that 4th video is when they are covering the body with rocks and saying some words over it and the camera pans around to all the members of the expedition. Here they are at 27,000 feet on Everest on probably the nicest day you will ever see and there is absolute pain and suffering on all their faces just being up at that altitude.

I saw season 1 when it first started. Nothing outstanding comes to mind.
Season2 on the other hand....
I'm 7 mins into the first episode and it's great.

Steven Spielberg's "West Side Story" is watchable, but it's not as good as the original.

Watched Vikings Valhalla S1E1 last night. You guessed it from Hollywood. The new leader of Katticut is a black woman. I know they take some historical liberties with these shows but I'm pretty sure that in Norway in the 11th century the black population was 0.000%. JC

I see the Canadian education system is real strong on their early European history. Right ahead of math it seems.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 2:16 amThere were black Vikings, dude.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 1:48 am Watched Vikings Valhalla S1E1 last night. Re: Geist's official movie/tv recommendation thread
Hell, the original Vikings series was bad enough with their women fighting bravely in battle along side the men. I get their ratings dilemma, but there was no "Shield Maidens". Not one single historical note of any female Viking warriors. I'm pretty sure someone would have mentioned that.

On that note, I watched a Canadian show called Murdoch Mysteries. The coach of the Raptors was in the episode.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 1:48 am Watched Vikings Valhalla S1E1 last night. You guessed it from Hollywood. They have an black open gay guy that walks free amongst the town (They all know he is gay) and occasionally bangs some of the dudes. Today, no big deal. But my guess, in the late 1800s, this was not an accepted practice even in liberal Canada.

Re: Geist's official movie/tv recommendation thread
Look, I get it. There has always been contrived historical inaccuracies in movies and TV shows since there have been movies and TV shows. A way to advance the story without getting bogged down with historical details. But, there is a huge difference between that and what Hollywood is doing now which I can only call "forced diversity". It is, as usual, doomed to fail because people are watching to be entertained, not preached to.Evil.Fkn.Mean,Nasty wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 2:28 pmOn that note, I watched a Canadian show called Murdoch Mysteries.
