Top #1 High School Pick chooses........ wait for it.....

Jackson State.

So, minutes before the signing time, he decommits from Florida State. He removes all Florida State pictures and stuff from his social media and at the very last second he announces that he has signed with Jackson State. If you have never heard of Jackson State, they are in Mississippi. And their coach is Deion Sanders. The Deion Sanders that played at Florida State.

Now, this kid (Travis Hunter) was not just the top recruit in the nation. He was the top recruit by miles.

Welcome to free agency in college football.

I think that kid played it really smart. Kudos to him.

He's going to make tons of NIL money wherever he goes. He'll be rich before he ever gets drafted into the NFL.

By switching to Jackson his NFL draft ranking immediately dropped. When he committed to Florida he was a projected top 5 NFL draft pick. By moving to Jackson he dropped to a top 20 NFL draft pick.
That means he is much more likely to be drafted by a good team rather than a shit team.
Instead of being drafted by the likes of the Jets, Lions, Jags, or Bears... he'll end up being drafted by the likes of the Saints, Vikings, Steelers, or Bengals.

Smart move.

Its way too early to know how this new era is going to work out for everyone. No one really understands the rules yet or how to play. This kid might change his commitment a few more times now that people know his price.
