Puerto Ricans are natural born American citizens. As are folks born in Guam and the US Virgin Islands.Reservoir Dog wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 8:10 pm And if the Cubans, Haitians and Puerto Ricans are legal?
It's in their territorial constitution: to be a citizen of Puerto Rico, you must be an American first.
If you can't be a good example, you can still serve as a horrible warning.

Despite the tourism and supporting facilities, Florida still remains a big agricultural state. We first in milk beef and diary in the South, tomatoes, watermelon, fern, celery, and even potatoes. Strawberries, too, and blueberries. And of course, various citrus. We also have a huge phosphate mining industry.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 8:22 pm Noticed Cigars wasn't on Florida's top export list. Unfortunately, quite a bit of that land has been converted over to growing concrete and cookie-cutter houses, or is in the process of it.

Same thing is happening up here, especially north of Toronto. Yeah, that whole farmland to McMansions has been going on here for decades. Damn shame. Developers moving into pristine Texas Hill Country pisses me off to no end. McMansions pay top tax dollars. Farmland no so much.QillerDaemon wrote: ↑Fri Apr 01, 2022 10:41 pmDespite the tourism and supporting facilities, Florida still remains a big agricultural state. Re: Map Porn
I certainly saw it enough at the far west area of Houston, which used to be a yoooj rice growing area. Think Uncle Ben's corporate offices, right there in the middle of a large swampy region. Perfect for growing rice! Then slowly starting in the mid 70's, large tracts of that swampland was converted to housing and commercial space. And so what happened when a few good hurricanes moved thru, many of those houses flooded. Once the ground was dry, they were simple rebuild, again and again.CentralTexasCrude wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 2:21 am Yeah, that whole farmland to McMansions has been going on here for decades. Re: Map Porn
When a I was in late Jr High/ early High School I lived in Alief- about 15 miles N of Sugar Land. Thriving Houston area town (Think Plano of Dallas). When I moved away because of Dad's work, the edge of Houston was 15 miles away and the town was vowing to never be swallowed up and incorporated by Houston. 2+ years later after I graduated from High School, I went to visit some old friends. Houston had overrun (and incorporated Alief) and was already 10 miles West. Wouldn't even think of visiting again today. Crime infested Shithole (the usual suspects). My Uncle still lives there and has been robbed twice in his front yard over the years.QillerDaemon wrote: ↑Sat Apr 02, 2022 3:34 pmI certainly saw it enough at the far west area of Houston, which used to be a yoooj rice growing area. My sister lived in Spring way back. Moved farther out later passed Tomball out in the country somewhere. Got wind that Houston was going to plow an outer loop within a half mile of her place. She lives in Magnolia now. She can't escape the Houston sprawl.
