Ok, thanks. I can see the smaller frack pond off to the right. All frack jobs are done "blind". They know where to frack and perhaps what side of the formation needs the most attention but they have no way to judge how good a frack job was done until the production numbers start coming in. If what I think you are talking about is going on, they can monitor the frack job in real time and adjust accordingly to get the best formation breakup possible. Totally amazing technology leap.

Pits are required to be lined by thick plastic lining and after so much time for normal evaporation, the remaining amount has to be hauled off to the appropriate locations like a disposal well. Water table is always sealed off by casing. Of everything that is done to a well from start to finish, you never ever screw up the casing job at the beginning. The amount of liability for polluting the water table is off the charts.
