"Do-do-doot-doot-dododo-doot-doot-doooo-doot!..." We don't?!

I could have sworn that was a Confederate flag flying off the back of that pickup truck with the "Stop the Steal!" stickers all over it.
A few anecdotal fringe examples are hardly evidence to the contrary. And do you really think the imbeciles in that truck have the slightest damn clue what that flag represents culturally (the democrat party's fight to defend and preserve the institution of slavery)? Or are they just morons trying to shock and offend people?

Respectfully, I don't think you're understanding the degree to which Russians venerate and idealize and aspire to the status of a cultural icon. I mean, even though Josef Stalin is almost universally regarded as a villain, his position as a cultural figure still gets his name mentioned in an awestruck fashion.

I hope the good news outweighs the latest from China. Now China is basically telling the world they're going to invade Taiwan soon, because they don't fear or respect the Alzheimers patient either. The president of China flat-out says he'll nuke any country that gets involved.

But hey, at least no more mean tweets, right?

I would hate to be some country that is relying on the Chinese demand for their oil and gas right now. Since the Chinese is locking down cities by the millions of people for covid. Man, I remember negative oil prices during lockdowns here.

I watched Ukraine on Fire last night. It was produced in 2016 and provides a good deal of context. Worth your 90 minutes

A demonstration of the idiocy of the left:

Unintelligent liberal (sorry for the redundancy) Geraldo Rivera was on some political pundit show a few minutes ago, which I was halfway paying attention to while waiting for Kerra to choose a fucking outfit to wear because holy fuck, God forbid a woman wear one of the first ten things she pulls out of the closet, and as usual he was trying in vain to defend the Alzheimers patient.
At one point, after getting frustrated at how the host, some Hispanic broad, repeatedly and rightfully pointed out that President Trump kept Putin in check and that Putin wasn't hammering Ukraine when President Trump was in charge, Geraldo blurted "How can you sit there and be so sure Putin wouldn't have invaded Ukraine when [President] Trump was still in office?"

The host, this lovely, big-breasted Hispanic chick, calmly shut that shIt down with: "Because he DIDN'T."

Geraldo sputtered some shit about how "its easy to look back now" before running out of words. It was glorious.
You'd think embarrassing liberals with truths and facts would get old, but... it never does.

Trump tried to get NATO to pay more and worry about their defenses.
Trump tried to warn the Euro-weenies about depending on Russian energy
Trump tried to thwart the Euro/Russian pipeline
All of these are completely overlooked because ORANGE MAN BAD!!1!!1!!

You touched on something that never made any sense to me. President Trump -- remember, His name is President Trump, not just Trump -- said He wanted other countries that have no military of their own and rely on our protection to pay for it, instead of getting it for free like they had been for decades. Democrats lost their fucking tiny minds.

Explain how that would be a bad thing, somebody? Explain why we should be providing military personnel, equipment, vehicles, and so forth to other countries at our expense? What is the problem with expecting our country to be paid for what we do?

Well, the standard answer is because WE are stronger when our allies are stronger and protected; and there is some truth to that. I agree that there is no doubt the Euro-weenies should have been paying more for a looooong time now. It took someone like Trump with the balls to just come out and say it though. Too many presidents, from both parties, were incredibly deferential to the Euros and thats why the Euro-weenies hate Trump; because he didnt kiss their asses. I think deep down everyone, including the Euros, knew that they were underpaying but no one wanted to say it.
Personally, I'm not against helping them out with equipment, technology etc. but they absolutely should have to at least give a legitimate effort for their own defense.

They should either protect themselves or pay for our protection. I feel like foreign aid should work the same way -- some shithole country like Haiti has a hurricane and needs help fixing their mud huts? We don't play if they don't pay.

You think the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere should "pay to play" for humanitarian aid? Maybe we can round up them Haitians and make them work it off?

To give you some reference, Haiti is about as poor as Moldova, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

We (Nato) let Russia know that making a mistake in an attack on Ukraine could lead to the collapse of Russia. The new weapons of the world are not going to be missiles.

And that still might happen anyway. A credible argument could be made that that decision emboldened Putin. Bidens weakness and unwillingness to ruffle feathers is now costing the lives of Ukrainians and Russians and possibly lead to more.

I would prefer we fix our own shit.
That's what I'm saying. We should fix our shit, haiti should fix their own shit, Indonesia should fix their own shit, etc.
Because I remember after Haiti had an earthquake a while back, we were sending them millions, if not billions of dollars (that the Clintons embezzled, but that's another topic for another time) as well as equipment and personnel to fix their shantytowns and mud huts... but then when Hurricane Katrina fucked up New Orleans, did Haiti return the favor and send money/materials/people to help rebuild Louisiana?
